On Wednesday, we were very lucky to have parents, Mr Weinhammer and Ms Yu, in school to lead workshops about electricity across our KS2 classes. The children had fun turning fruit and vegetables into rudimentary batteries using citric acid and exploring whether they were good conductors of electricity.
They built human models to visualise a circuit (in parallel circuits and in series circuits) and saw how these different types of circuits affect how lights work with a switch. They also explored static electricity with balloons.
