Congratulations to our Head of Chinese, Wang Jing, who was awarded the Mulan Award for Contribution to Education by Lady Blair CBE KC at an awards ceremony last night!
The judges of the awards were impressed by Wang Jing’s dedication and her direct impact on the education of children, as well as her sharing of best practice with other educators and active contribution to a wider pedagogic audience.
The Mulan Foundation Network, organiser of the Mulan Awards, aims to recognise and honour the achievements of Chinese women in the UK. Previous winners of the Mulan Awards include Jung Chang (author of ‘Wild Swans’), Yvonne Chia (the first woman in Malaysia to be appointed CEO of a bank and previously named as one of Forbes Asia’s 50 ‘Businesswomen in the Mix’) and Kay-Tee Khaw (a physician and academic specialising in the maintenance of health in later life who was awarded a CBE in 2013 for services to medicine).
We are so delighted that Wang Jing has won this award and wish her our heartfelt congratulations!
