Partnerships and outreach

At Kensington Wade we are committed to pursuing our aim to foster linguistic and cultural fluency beyond our own school gates into the community at large.

Working with local schools in our home borough of Hammersmith and Fulham, we are developing a comprehensive outreach programme offering a range of resources and opportunities.

Kensington Wade currently works with Melcombe Primary School in delivering Chinese language and culture lessons to older year groups, piloting the development of further lesson content. We plan to provide a full-year video content and lesson plan programme based around the Chinese calendar, and including introductory material on the Chinese language, for schools to integrate into their cultural curriculum.

We are working to broaden these opportunities to include cultural exchanges and partnerships with bilingual schools in China and the United States, cultural visits to schools, online programmes and summer camp events. We plan to extend our free resources offering to schools across London and the UK.

Kensington Wade also partners with schools internationally, including joint events and pen pal schemes, and we encourage our pupils to be active members of our local community through visits and performances.
